About Radford Landcraft

Owner, Loren Radford, has been involved in the green industry for 40 years. He started his career as a forestry teacher at a vocational high school in the Adirondacks of upstate New York. Seeking a less brutal winter, he moved the Carolinas, where he owned a forestry/tree service contracting company in western North Carolina and later taught horticulture at Technical College of the Lowcountry in Beaufort, South Carolina.

Loren also served several years in Cooperative Extension as a county extension director in Colorado and a 4H agent in New York. He taught landscaping and arboriculture full-time at Portland Community College for 18 years and still teaches there part-time in courses such as Landscape Lighting, Irrigation, Landscape Business Practices and Tree Care. Most recently he semi-retired from his landscape contracting business of 6 years finding age limits the number of 10 hour days of physical work in the week.

Loren is a Oregon licensed landscape professional and a certified arborist.
